On Sunday 27 September 2026, Parco Montecchio in Alzano Lombardo (Bergamo, Italy) hosted the first International Traditional Driving Competition “La Voce del Cavallo”, organised by the Fondazione Giusi Pesenti Calvi together with the Gruppo Italiano Attacchi. Ten turnouts from Italy competed in four categories: single pony, single horse, horse pairs and junior pony.

The competition followed the three traditional phases: Presentation, Routière and Maniabilité. The judging panel was made up of Eric Macrez (France), Enzo Calvi (Italy) and Aurelio Bianco (Italy).

At the prize-giving, Charlotte Engholm (Italy) won the single pony category, Domenico Bagnaschi (Italy) the single horse category, Igino Soldi (Italy) the horse pairs and Bianca Crippa (Italy) the junior pony category. The Best in Show award also went to Domenico Bagnaschi.

Under a beautiful sunny sky, the premiere was a real success: hundreds of spectators applauded the competitors throughout the day, especially during the prize-giving ceremony.
